Die mit tastenden Strichen gezeichnete Landschaft erweist sich als Teilkopie nach einer zur praktischen Anleitung in der Zeichenkunst bestimmten Radierung Jakob Philipp Hackerts (s. externe Bezüge). Baumdarstellungen spielen für Hackert eine übergeordnete Rolle in der Kunst der Landschaftsmalerei und sind entsprechend bevorzugter Gegenstand seiner Unterweisungen (vgl. auch Inv.-Nr. III-01863).
